A few thoughts on COVID-19.

It highlights the need for more flexible work from home options. Many can’t afford not to go to work.

It highlights how little attention is paid to international students and/or homeless.

It highlights how much compassion we need to have for our elderly.

It highlights the need for compassion in general. A lot of people and industries are losing a lot now and an event like this drastically affects people.

It highlights the gross inequalities and inequities that exist in many of our systems today.

While there isn’t a lot we know beyond what we hear from the CDC, let’s remember to be humans to each other and to rethink how we organize our structures so that it doesn’t only benefit the privileged.
